Body Politic The M Word Banner

Body Politic have teamed up with Dancin’ Oxford to launch a brand new street dance project for young people aged 12-16yrs. The project takes place in local community centres in Blackbird Leys, Wood Farm and Rose Hill.

If you're keen to develop your Street Dance technique,  learn new routines and develop your own choreography, then these classes are for you. The project also explores how dance can tell stories and communicate ideas and cumulates in numerous performances across the year. As well as perfecting dance moves, the project aims to explore mental health and well-being and boost confidence and self-esteem. Read more about what some of our students think about the classes here.

Classes are led by experienced instructors from Body Politic. Previous work has included working alongside: Kinjaz (America’s Best Dance Crew), Justin Bieber (Purpose Tour), MINI Plant Oxford as well as producing and performing in numerous showcases and events across the UK. All our teachers work hard to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered to let their creativity flourish.

No previous experience is needed and all levels are welcome!
